January 17, 2003 Singer Bobby Brown turns himself in after violating the conditions of bond stemming from a 1999 drunk driving charge. Brown was sentenced to 8 days in jail, 240 hours of community service and a fine of 2,600 dollars.
January 17, 2007 A TSA agent retrieves a water bottle thrown out by Atlanta Falcons QB Micheal Vick and sends it to be tested. Vick waffled over whether to put it in his checked luggage or throw it away.
