One of three actors to play doctor of the U.S.S. Enterprise during classic Star Trek's three-year run (John Bellah and John Hoyt were the others), Deforest Kelley play acerbic Leonard McCoy, whose emotional responses offset the logic of Leonard Nimoy's Spock. He is the only star not to have appeared on the Outer Limits.
