Frank Sinkwich
At a time when the university system was in a good deal of turmoil, Frank Sinkwich came to play football at the University of Georgia Athens. College football recognized 3 years of outstanding performance with the 1942 Heisman Trophy. After going to the Detroit Lions he severely injured his knee, ending his playing career. After a brief coaching career he returned to Athens, Georgia where he was a successful beer distributor.
