September 11, 1982 The home of Ken Dooley, who worked at Rome's Youth Development Center, is raked with gunfire. The following day Linda Adair's home, also an employee at the YDC, is firebombed

September 25, 1982 Lisa Ann Millican, part of a girls group from the Ethel Harpst Home in Cedartown, Georgia, disappeared while on a trip to the Riverbend Mall in Rome. Her body would be recovered a few days later in Little River Canyon, Fort Payne, Alabama

October 4, 1982 Janice Kay Chatman and John Hancock are abducted. Hancock is shot and plays dead while Judy and Alvin Neelley flee the scene with Chatman.

October 9, 1982 Judy Neelley is arrested at a motel in Murfreesboro, TN. Alvin is arrested a few days later. Mrs. Neelley admitted brutally murdering both Chatman and Millican and shooting and firebombing the homes of the YDC employees.

April 18, 1983 Judy Neelley is convicted of murder and sentenced to die in Alabama's electric chair

January 15, 1999 Judy Neelley, convicted of the brutal murders of two Georgia teenagers has her death sentance commuted by the Governor of Alabama
