Presidential Pardons
January 20, 2001 President William Clinton pardons Georgians during the waning moments of his presidency
  Presidential Pardons


On the last day of his presidency William Clinton pardoned these Georgians, who had been convicted of felonies: Almon Glenn Braswell, Conspiracy to defraud government with respect to claims; perjury; David S. Herdlinger, Mail fraud; Norman Lyle Prouse, Operating or directing the operation of a common carrier while under the influence of alcohol; Charles Bernard Stewart, Illegally destroying U.S. Mail; Thelma Louise Wingate, Mail fraud;
